MASSAGE THERAPY
Gina Strode has been a licensed massage therapist practicing in Oregon since 2004. Studying both Eastern and Western massage modalities at East-West College of Healing Arts in Portland.
Her success is attributed to a strong belief in building customer relationships and maintaining strong business ethic. Using her education in massage bodywork with anatomy, physiology and pathology to assess and create a massage routine based on individual client needs.· Incorporating her knowledge of the bodies’ meridians, acupressure points and reflexology along with hydrotherapy, and muscle stretching techniques to induce a deeply relaxing massage experience.
Gina is currently offering Hot Stone massages to ease away chronic muscle tension. Using smooth Basalt stones heated to a constant temperature, the heat penetrates deep into the muscles to alleviate muscle soreness.
REIKI
Ian began energy work in the spring of 2001 while traveling in Europe. In 2004, he was attuned to the 1st degree of Reiki while visiting Costa Rica. He has since trained and been attuned to the Master level of Reiki and has also been instructed in Advanced Reiki Techniques (ART). Ian is certified as an instructor up to and including the Master level and Advanced Reiki Techniques (ART) and his lineage is through teachers in the Tibetan/Usui tradition. Ian deeply respects people's backgrounds and personal spiritual expression.
Reiki is a Japanese relaxation and healing technique. Similar to acupuncture, but without needles, Reiki works to help energy flow through the body in a way that is both extremely relaxing and healing. Reiki reduces stress, increases vitality and accelerates the body's natural healing ability. Because Reiki works with the body's natural energy systems, it is a safe and effective healing modality that helps with both chronic and acute maladies. Reiki usually involves the laying on of hands. However, touch is not required for Reiki to be effective. Working alone or in conjunction with other medical or therapeutic techniques, Reiki relieves both the underlying condition and its symptoms, promoting recovery. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit, creating beneficial effects that include feelings of peace, security and well being.
